ServingSchools is seeking an Assistant Teacher to join a collaborative special education program for Grades K-4. You will support students with diverse needs, reinforce instruction, and help maintain a positive, structured classroom environment.
The role emphasizes teamwork with teachers, educational technicians, and clinicians to implement individualized strategies and behavior plans, while promoting students’ communication, social, and independence skills in a nurturing setting.
We are looking for an Assistant Teacher to join our collaborative special education team serving students in kindergarten through fourth grade. Our students may have autism, ADHD, histories of trauma, or a combination of needs. They are also creative, funny, curious children with individual strengths, interests, and ways of experiencing the world. The Assistant Teacher helps create a predictable, engaging environment where each student can learn.
Experience working with children with disabilities, behavioral needs, or trauma histories is helpful, but a willingness to learn and a strong commitment to children are equally important. Training and support will be provided. This is an opportunity to become part of a skilled, supportive team and to make a meaningful difference in children's daily experiences at school.
