Responsibilities

• Checks and corrects students’ work while in progress; keeps students on task.
• Praises and reinforces achievement of students.
• Reports student progress to teacher.
• Arranges classroom furnishings; prepares visual aids; duplicates materials.
• Serves as proctor during testing; scores papers; distributes materials.
• Attends workshops.
• Checks attendance; enters health record; files data according to regulatory requirements.
• Supervises students in classroom and other locations; promotes positive behavior; reports discipline problems.
