Job summary

Hope Network's Michigan Education Corps is seeking a Reading Tutor to work with kindergartners through third graders, building essential reading skills and confidence through simple, scripted lessons.

You will work 1:1 or 1:2 during the school day, with strong support from a team of tutors, coaches, and school staff. No prior teaching experience is required, and comprehensive training is provided to ensure your success.

Qualifications

• No prior teaching or tutoring experience required.
• Paid training before entering the school.
• Coaching and ongoing support throughout the year.

Responsibilities

• Work 1:1 or 1:2 with K–3 students during the school day to strengthen reading skills.
• Follow evidence-based, scripted interventions that are easy to learn and designed for consistency.
• Build positive, encouraging relationships with students.
• Track student progress with simple tools and guidance.
• Be part of a supportive team of tutors, coaches, and school staff.
