Job summary

Alpha School in New York City or Miami is seeking an Educational Consultant to own outcomes for a K-3 cohort, coaching students and Guides daily using data, observation, and feedback. You will lead workshops on communication, resilience, and life skills while building coaching playbooks that raise performance across the school.

The role emphasizes direct classroom presence and measurable improvement rather than traditional instruction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, Organizational Leadership, Child Development, or related field.
• At least 5 years working with elementary-aged children (ages 5-9).
• Experience leading teams, including performance management and hiring decisions.
• Experience building or growing a program, school, team, or initiative.
• Proven use of data and measurable outcomes to improve performance.
• Strong storytelling and facilitation skills with young children and adults.

Responsibilities

• Coach Guides and students using performance data and observations to drive improvements.
• Deliver workshops focused on communication, resilience, collaboration, accountability, and focus.
• Lead coaching sessions connecting motivation to academic growth and independence.
• Build and refine repeatable coaching playbooks for the Guide team.
• Train and mentor Guides, modeling exceptional coaching daily.
