Camden City School District is seeking a Vice Principal PreK-12 to support the Principal in strengthening instructional quality and managing non-instructional operations for an effective program.

The role requires NJDOE-aligned certification, a master's degree, and a track record of raising student achievement, especially in high-poverty or turnaround settings. The position emphasizes leadership, data analysis, and collaboration with families.

Qualifications

• A valid New Jersey Standard Principal Certificate or Certificate of Eligibility (or the equivalent license from another state)
• Master's Degree from an accredited college or university
• At least 5 years of successful teaching experience with demonstrated student achievements in either high school or elementary education programs.
• Demonstrated leadership capability in the areas of curriculum and staff development
• Required criminal history background check, physical examination, and proof of eligibility for employment in accordance with New Jersey law.

Responsibilities

• Assists the principal in developing, implementing, and assessing academic programs and high curriculum standards.
• Deliver actionable feedback on classroom management and instructional time effectively and setting clear academic and behavioral expectations for students
• Serves as building administrator in the absence of the principal.
• Assists in the identification and monitoring of techniques, methods, and approaches for use by staff to improve instruction.
• Assists in monitoring the facility to ensure that a safe, clean learning environment is maintained.
• Assists in the conducting of safety inspections and safety drill practice activities.
• Assists the principal in coordinating transportation, custodial, cafeteria and other support services.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze data effectively.
