Job summary

Twin Rivers Unified School District in California seeks a Substitute Teacher for K-12th grade retirees. This position is open only to employees who have retired from a teaching position within the district.

Under site supervision, you will plan and deliver instruction, monitor progress, and assess student learning for substitute classrooms. A valid California teaching credential or a 30-day substitute permit is required, along with TB clearance and background checks.

Qualifications

• A valid, current Credential or 30-Day Substitute Teaching Permit issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing is required.
• TB test result within 4 years is required before start.
• Criminal background check by the DOJ and possibly the FBI; teaching credential/permit on file with CTC.
• AB-2534: disclose all current and/or previous LEAs where employed using the provided form.
• If out of service >1 year within Twin Rivers USD, follow the stated requirement.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, monitor, and assess a classroom instructional program.
• Deliver instruction to substitute students across K-12th grade as directed by site leadership.
