Carter G Woodson Charter School is looking for K–12 Substitute Teachers to provide instructional continuity in the absence of regular teachers. This role involves implementing lesson plans, maintaining a positive learning environment, and supervising scholars throughout the day.
Candidates should have a valid North Carolina Teaching License and a Bachelor's degree preferred. Compensation is $140.00 per full instructional day, and this role does not come with employee benefits.

Reports To: Director of School Transformation & School Excellence or Designee
The K–12 Substitute Teacher provides instructional continuity and classroom supervision during the absence of the regular classroom teacher. The substitute is responsible for implementing lesson plans, maintaining a safe and positive learning environment, promoting scholar engagement, and supporting the academic and behavioral expectations of Carter G. Woodson School. Substitute teachers may be assigned to elementary, middle, or high school classrooms based on school needs and certification.
Substitute Teacher: $140.00 per full instructional day
Substitute teachers are employed on an as-needed basis and are not eligible for employee benefits unless otherwise specified by Carter G. Woodson School policy.
