South Central BOCES is seeking a Substitute Classroom Teacher to support the Hoehne School District. This role involves following lesson plans, supervising students, and adapting instruction in a dynamic, on‑demand environment.
Candidates should hold a Colorado Department of Education Substitute Teacher license. A Bachelor's degree is preferred, with prior teaching experience valued. This position offers flexibility and a variety of school-based assignments.
Under the general supervision of the School Principal, a substitute teacher, or sub, teaches and supervises student in the event their regular teacher is unable to lead class. Their duties include managing classroom behavior, quickly interpreting lesson plans and creating reports to inform the students' permanent teacher of their success. Substitute Teachers are called to work on an as-needed basis; there are no set hours or guarantee of hours.
Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Principal and other central office administrators as designated by the Superintendent.
