Job summary

New Bedford Public Schools is seeking a Speech/Language Pathologist for the PRAB - Special Education program in New Bedford, MA. The clinician will consult with classroom staff, collect and analyze data, conduct evaluations, and support feeding skills as needed.

The role requires scheduling organization, collaboration with general education and therapy staff, IEP attendance, SLPA supervision, licensure maintenance, and adherence to ASHA and DESE standards.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in speech/language pathology required.
• Licensed or eligible for ASHA CF (Clinical Fellow).
• DESE licensure as Speech/Language Pathologist or ability to secure.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver speech/language therapy tailored to student needs.
• Provide direct instruction to students individually or in groups.
• Provide clinical supervision to SLPA staff.
• Administer evaluations and share findings at team meetings.
• Attend IEP meetings for own caseload and supervise SLPA caseloads.
• Facilitate communication with families/caregivers using shared resources.
• Maintain licensure and meet ongoing professional development.
