Job summary

Clarke County School District is seeking a Speech and Language Pathologist in Athens, Georgia to identify students with communication disorders and plan/implement evidence-based treatment. The role partners with families and educators to ensure compliant, effective services and to improve student outcomes.

The position requires a Master’s degree, SLP-5 certificate, and ASHA CCC is preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish is also preferred to support diverse learners in the district.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required.
• SLP-5 certificate in Speech and Language Pathology.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assesses students' communication skills for identifying disorders and developing treatment recommendations.
• Collaborates with parents, teachers, physicians, and staff to provide services within guidelines.
• Coordinates meetings and evaluation/IEP processes for eligible students and training for parents/students.
• Develops treatment plans and educational materials to minimize impact of disorders.
• Instructs students in use of communication technologies.
