Job summary

Vassalboro Community School is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide assessment and therapy for students with communication disorders. The role involves identifying needs, planning treatment, and coordinating services with families and school staff.

The candidate must hold a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, CCC-SLP, Maine licensure, and CHRC; participate in IEPs and team meetings; and maintain accurate records and reporting.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology with CCC-SLP required.
• Maine licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist required.
• Must pass Maine CHRC background check.

Responsibilities

• Assesses students' communication skills to identify disorders and inform treatment.
• Collaborates with parents, teachers, physicians, and staff to coordinate services.
• Coordinates meetings for evaluation results, IEPs, and training.
• Develops treatment plans and educational materials to minimize impact of disorders.
• Instructs staff on use of assistive devices and therapy techniques.
• Implements communication technologies to support student learning.
• Maintains comprehensive student records and reports.
