Job summary

The ACES is a K-12 specialized day school network serving students with significant behavioral, emotional, and developmental needs. We seek a Campus Leader / Assistant Principal to support the principal at the Tempe campus, overseeing safety, curriculum, assessment, professional development, and family engagement.

This role represents the school in district partnerships, leads IEP/parent meetings when applicable, and collaborates with leadership to advance student outcomes and organizational

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in educational administration or related field.
• Active state administrator license or willingness to obtain within 1–2 years.
• Teacher certification in teaching with preferred special education background.
• Leadership experience in a special education setting desired.
• Knowledge of State and Federal Education Law.

Responsibilities

• Support the campus principal with operations focusing on student safety, classroom management, curriculum, instruction, assessment, and parent relations.
• Model and enforce campus policies to create a positive school environment and culture.
• Ensure a safe environment and promote high morale among staff and students.
• Assist with health, safety, and welfare of students, staff, and visitors.
• Lead professional development in curriculum, instruction, and classroom management.
• Attend IEP/parent meetings to offer support and participate as needed.
• Interview potential new hires and support onboarding.
• Oversee curriculum development and implementation of assessments.
