Job summary

Amergis in Lombard, IL seeks a Special Education Teacher to provide quality services to students from kindergarten through grade 12, under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s Degree and a valid state teaching certificate, with at least one year of teaching

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university preferred.
• Valid state teaching certificate as required by state contract/district regulations.
• Experience in teaching environment preferred; State Teacher Certifications (Elementary/Secondary/Special Teaching) preferred.
• Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality services to special education students, kindergarten through grade 12.
• Collaborate with general education staff in planning and implementation of student programs including special instruction, tutorial assistance and consultation.
• Assist with tutorial support and consultation as needed.
