Job summary

KIPP St. Louis is seeking a Special Education Teacher for K–12 to deliver individualized, standards-aligned instruction. The role designs and implements IEPs, collaborates with general education teachers, providers, and families, and uses data to monitor progress and adjust supports for student goals.

The teacher will create inclusive learning environments, ensure access to high-quality instruction, and drive strong outcomes for students with diverse learning needs in a 10-month schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education or related content area required.
• Minimum of 2+ years of classroom teaching experience.
• K-12 Cross Categorical/Mild Mod certification preferred.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver instruction enabling diverse learners to access grade-level standards.
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs aligned to rigorous goals.
• Differentiate instruction with accommodations and modifications as needed.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, service providers and families.
• Use data to monitor progress and adjust supports for student goals.
• Establish structured, inclusive classroom environments that support learning.
