Job summary

Amergis Staffing, a healthcare staffing firm, seeks a Special Education Teacher for a contract-full-time position in Braintree, MA. The teacher will deliver quality services to K–12 students under the Special Education Program Administrator and collaborate with general education staff.

The role involves planning and implementing individualized and group programs,/tutorial support, and participating in team-based planning for student programs in a school setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university preferred.
• Valid state teaching certificate as required by state contract/district regulations.
• Minimum of one year experience in teaching environment preferred.
• Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred.
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality services to special education students, kindergarten through grade 12.
• Collaborate with general education staff in planning and implementation of student programs.
• Plan and implement student programs including special instruction, tutorial assistance and consultation.
