Amergis Healthcare Staffing in Fort Worth, TX seeks a Special Education Teacher to deliver quality educational services to students from kindergarten through high school. This contract–full-time position involves collaboration with the Special Education Program Administrator and general education staff to plan and implement individualized programs.

Requirements include a Bachelor's Degree, valid teaching certificate, and state endorsements (LBS1 preferred).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred).
• Valid state teaching certificate as required by state/district regulations.
• Minimum of one year teaching experience (preferred).
• State Teacher Certification; Type: Elementary Teaching preferred.
• State Teacher Certification; Type: Secondary Teaching preferred.
• State Teacher Certification; Type: Special Teaching preferred.
• Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred.
• Complies with relevant professional standards of practice.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB questionnaire/PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current Health certificate per contract or state regulations.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Special Education Teacher provides quality services to special education students, K–12, under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator and collaborates with general education staff.
