Job summary

Amergis is seeking a Special Education Teacher to deliver quality services to students from kindergarten through 12th grade under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator. Minimum requirements include a state teaching certificate, a bachelor's degree, and prior classroom experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university preferred.
• Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract/district regulations.
• Minimum of one year experience in teaching environment preferred.
• Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality services to special education students from kindergarten through grade 12.
• Collaborate with general education staff in planning and implementing student programs.
• Engage in team planning, instruction, tutorial assistance and consultation as needed.
