Amergis is seeking a Special Education Teacher in Elkhart, Indiana, to deliver quality services to K–12 students under the program administrator. The role emphasizes collaboration with general education staff and planning individual student programs.

Contract full time with a pay rate of $48 per hour and a 35-hour workweek. The role requires appropriate state certification and a preferred LBS1 endorsement, plus CPR/health clearances as applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university preferred.
• Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract/district regulations.
• Minimum of one year experience in teaching environment preferred.
• Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred.
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsabilités

• Special Education Teacher provides quality services to special education students in grades K-12.
• Participates in planning and implementation of student programs including special instruction, tutorial assistance and consultation with general education staff.
