Qualifications

  • Valid Indiana teaching license K-12 (Mild Interventions) required.
  • Master's degree in special education or related field preferred.
  • Minimum three years of teaching experience.
  • Certification in Indiana special education by date of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate IEPs for K-12 students with disabilities.
  • Attend case conferences as Teacher of Record for students with disabilities.
  • Model best-practice instructional strategies for preservice teachers and graduate students.
  • Manage statewide testing accommodations and ensure compliance with state regulations.
  • Provide specialized instruction for students with significant needs and collaborate with general ed.
  • Assess progress and communicate with parents and administrators.
