Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a qualified School Social Worker for a full-time school-based contract in Commerce City, Colorado. The role serves K-12 students, focusing on social-emotional and mental health support to promote academic success.

The position requires an active Colorado SSPI license with School Social Worker endorsement, MSW or related field, and prior school-based experience. Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–3:30 PM, with potential for contract renewal and benefits.

Qualifications

• MSW degree required.
• Active Colorado School Social Worker license required.
• Background checks and district clearances required.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling to support student social-emotional and behavioral needs.
• Conduct social, emotional, and behavioral assessments.
• Participate in IEP, 504, MTSS, and multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and community agencies to support student success.
• Provide crisis intervention and support for students experiencing social or emotional challenges.
• Connect students and families with school and community resources.
• Assist with attendance improvement, behavior support, and student engagement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with state, district, and federal guidelines.
