Job summary

Qualifications

  • PEL license issued by the Illinois State Board of Education.
  • Endorsement in School Psychology or School Service Personnel Certification.
  • Experience in a K–12 district is preferred.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • Commitment to student engagement, equity and inclusion.
  • Collaborative, flexible and reflective teaching practices.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in multi-disciplinary, building-based problem-solving teams.
  • Assist in identifying and implementing targeted interventions to meet student needs.
  • Monitor fidelity of interventions and data-informed progress.
  • Develop individualized behavior management plans using functional behavior analysis.
  • Gather and interpret data on student progress.
  • Provide standardized assessments of a child’s abilities when appropriate.
  • Interpret psychological evaluation results for parents and school personnel.
  • Participate in IEP-related eligibility and meetings as required.
  • Prepare conference summaries and maintain procedural documentation.
  • Provide ongoing consultation with parents and school staff.
  • Complete case study re-evaluations as needed or mandated.
  • Support early childhood identification screening for at-risk children.
  • Facilitate communication between parents and school personnel.
