Job summary

Krum ISD is seeking a School Psychologist to provide professional psychological services including assessment, counseling, and behavior management for students in the Special Education program.

The role reports to the Director of Special Education and requires a Master's in psychology with Texas LSSP licensure or Trainee status, plus relevant experience in educational settings. Strong collaboration with parents and staff is essential.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in psychology from accredited college/university.
• Valid Texas license as LSSP or Trainee Status Letter issued by Texas Board.

Responsibilities

• Select and administer assessments to evaluate intellectual, emotional, and behavioral functioning of referred students.
• Develop psychological evaluation reports and behavior management plans.
• Participate in ARD meetings to determine placement and develop IEPs.
• May serve as case manager for students on assigned campuses.
• Meet with parents to discuss background information and test results.
• Consult with teachers and staff on educational needs and implementation of behavior plans.
• Present staff development trainings to enable staff to identify and address emotional and behavioral disturbances.
