Job summary

McAllen ISD is seeking a Child Nutrition Manager at Garza Elementary to lead the campus cafeteria team, oversee daily operations, ensure program compliance, manage inventory, and coordinate with staff to provide safe, high-quality meals for students.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, a City of McAllen Food Manager Certification, and a valid Texas Driver’s License, with experience in K-12 food service preferred. Starting immediately.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Food Manager Certification by City of McAllen required.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License Class C required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily cafeteria operations and ensure meals meet approved recipes and quality standards.
• Maintain records for ordering, inventory, time management, training, and safety logs.
• Train and evaluate kitchen staff and ensure ongoing development.
• Provide excellent customer service to students, staff, and families.
