Qualifications

• Three years experience as a successful teacher.
• Certification for principal.
• Master’s Degree and Rank II.

Responsibilities

• Assist the chief administrator in leadership of the school.
• Supervise and coordinate planning, development, and operation of the total school program.
• Provide general and specific supervision over the school program and staff.
• Delegate responsibilities while remaining accountable to the principal and Board of Education for results.
• Formulate and enforce discipline rules with involvement from students, staff, and community.
• Promote and supervise extra-curricular programs within the school.
• Attend required meetings and conferences and stay current with educational practices.
• Ensure curriculum alignment with Kentucky standards and ESSA.
• Assist in developing and monitoring the school improvement plan.
• Involve staff in monitoring ESSA goals and initiatives.
• Involve staff in aligning Kentucky Core Content or KAS.
• Allocate time for evaluation and improvement of certified staff.
• Attend board and staff meetings and participate in committees to promote the program.
