Job summary

Cengage Group is seeking a Proposal Writer for our K-12 learning market. You will manage the RFP process, coordinate with sales, marketing, and product teams, and ensure on-time, high-quality responses that align with client needs and Cengage's standards.

Reporting to the Manager of Sales Operations and Support, you will contribute to a content library, streamline templates, and drive proposals that differentiate our offerings to districts and state departments of education.

Qualifications

• Experience managing RFP processes from start to finish.
• Ability to coordinate with sales, marketing, and product teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication to influence stakeholders.
• Agile and deadline-driven with high-volume workloads.

Responsibilities

• Support all aspects of the RFP process from start to finish, including vetting, strategy calls, content collaboration, editing, and proposal preparation.
• Analyze RFP bid to determine compliant response structure and format.
• Generate detailed response plans, schedules, and technical elements in proposals.
• Delegate tasks to team members as appropriate.
• Partner with Sales to create innovative approaches and differentiators.
• Identify gaps and propose improvements in processes, templates, and systems.
• Track, evaluate, and improve RFP responses based on feedback and market research.
• Complete other duties as assigned to meet company goals.
