Job summary

Chesterfield County Public Schools is seeking an Instructional Designer for the 2027-28 school year to collaborate with school administrators and teachers. The role focuses on leading innovative instruction, supporting professional learning, and aligning practice with the district’s strategic plan using technology to personalize learning and promote student agency.

The designer will work within the Division of Teaching and Learning to build teacher capacity, analyze data, and lead district-wide

Qualifications

• Virginia teaching license and minimum two years of successful teaching experience.
• Strong knowledge of instructional technology and LMS use.
• Experience designing engaging, student-centered instruction.

Responsibilities

• Embodies the four core values of Imagine Tomorrow - integrity, equity, teamwork, and ingenuity.
• Supports the development and implementation of the SIIP aligned to Imagine Tomorrow and district plan.
• Works with school admin to ensure impactful professional learning and curriculum enhancement through technology.
• Provides leadership in aligning teachers' practices to SIIP goals.
• Analyzes student performance data to inform instructional decisions.
• Implements a teacher coaching model including planning, modeling, implementing, and reflecting.
