Job summary

Panhandle ISD in Panhandle, Texas seeks an Elementary/High School Aide to support instructional and behavioral programs. You will assist teachers with materials, display creation, and online courses, under supervision of the principal.

The position requires an associate degree or two years of college, and a valid Texas educational aide certificate. Previous experience with children and strong communication skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or two years of college, or ESSA assessment as required
• Valid Texas educational aide certificate
• Ability to work with online programs
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Knowledge of general office equipment

Responsibilities

• Help teacher prepare instructional materials and classroom displays.
• Help maintain a neat and orderly classroom and manage supplies.
• Assist in inventory, care, and maintenance of equipment.
• Help teacher keep administrative records and prepare required reports.
• Provide orientation and assistance to substitute teachers.
• Facilitate online courses.
• Supervise students during lunch, bus, and recess and monitor behavior.
• Keep teacher informed of special needs or problems of individual students.
