Job summary

Walton Family Foundation in Jersey City, NJ seeks a Program Officer focused on K-12 instructional practice, curriculum, educational technology, and student learning. In-person four days a week, the role advances grantmaking and partnerships, engaging educators, researchers, policymakers, and practitioners.

You will manage grants, conduct due diligence, develop investment recommendations, monitor grantee performance, and collaborate across Education and other teams to advance outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
• At least 5 years in education or philanthropy.
• Excellent written communication skills with experience producing concise and longer texts.
• Strong ability to analyze policy and emerging education issues.

Responsibilities

• Manage grants and partnerships in instructional practice, curriculum, and educational technology.
• Perform due diligence and develop investment recommendations.
• Monitor grantee performance and budgets; ensure timely reporting and accountability.
• Collaborate with educators, researchers, policymakers, practitioners, funders, and leaders in the education field.
