Job summary

DLR Group's South Central region seeks a K-12 Education Project Manager in Overland Park to lead large-scale projects from inception to completion. You will supervise architectural, engineering, and design staff, coordinate with vendors, and occasionally present to clients to win work.

The role requires a minimum of 8 years’ experience with K-12 projects, a relevant degree, and strong communication skills. The firm is 100% employee-owned and emphasizes collaboration and design excellence.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience leading and working on K-12 Education projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Interior Design from an accredited program.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Project for scheduling, Excel for budgeting, and PowerPoint for presentations.
• Collaborative management style and strong people skills.
• Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam.
• Excellent communication and public speaking skills for client interviews.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex K-12 Education projects on budget and schedule.
• Develop project work plans including schedule and budget.
• Coordinate all administrative and technical project efforts for efficiency.
• Serve as primary liaison with clients to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery and high satisfaction.
• Manage budgets, schedules, programs, communications, and team assignments.
• Prepare proposals and contracts; oversee junior project managers.
