Job summary

A2H is seeking a Project Architect for our Memphis, TN office with strong design and project management experience in the K-12 education space. You will lead complex projects from concept through construction, develop work plans, and serve as the client liaison to ensure schedule, budget, and scope are met.

Candidates should hold a Bachelor or Master of Architecture from an NCARB-accredited school and demonstrate leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Strong knowledge of building codes and the project delivery process.

Responsibilities

• Promotes and engages the firm’s mission, vision, and goals through project leadership.
• Focus on K-12 Education Projects of all sizes and complexities.
• Manage all aspects of complex projects from conception through construction and completion.
• Develop project work plans with the team to meet quality, schedule, and budget goals.
• Serve as the primary client liaison to ensure client satisfaction with schedule, budgets, and scope.
• Estimate fees, determine scopes, prepare proposals, and write contracts.
• Provide input in marketing, contractual, design and production meetings.
• Ensure quality, schedule, and budget for design activities.
• Actively manage client budgets, schedules, and programs; coordinate project communications and documentation; assist with office tasks.
• Establish and sustain client relations and collaborate with consultants and public agencies.
• Observe project performance and coordinate workload to complete documents on schedule.
• Strengthen market reputation through thought leadership based on value proposition.
