Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, CS, IT or related field; relevant work experience may substitute.
• 3–5 years hands-on cybersecurity operations, analyst, or engineering experience.
• K-12 or higher education experience preferred.
• Experience with network security (firewalls, VPNs), endpoint security (EDR, AV), and SIEM.
• Familiarity with Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and SIS is a bonus.
• Preferred certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CySA+, GSEC, CISSP).

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, configure, and maintain cybersecurity tools and infrastructure
• Recommend and enforce security procedures for district technology assets
• Lead incident response, containment, investigation, remediation, and recovery
• Monitor alerts and logs from SIEM, firewalls, and EDR in real time
• Identify and remediate vulnerabilities to reduce attack surface
• Document cybersecurity systems, procedures and incident response playbooks
• Develop cybersecurity awareness training materials for staff and students
• Position may require flexible hours outside of normal work day
