Job summary

Manassas City Public Schools in Manassas, Virginia is seeking a Director of K-12 Career and Technical Education (CTE) to lead division-wide CTE strategy, staffing, and program quality. This role reports to the Deputy Superintendent and guides workforce-aligned initiatives across the district.

The candidate will supervise CTE staff, align programs with VDOE standards, manage grants, and build external partnerships to expand opportunities for students in career pathways.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Career and Technical Education, educational leadership, curriculum and instruction, workforce development, or a related field.
• Must possess or be eligible for a Virginia Postgraduate Professional License with a Career & Technical Education endorsement
• Virginia Administration and Supervision PreK-12 endorsement required.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and leads the division’s K–12 CTE vision, strategic priorities, and long-range program plan.
• Provides supervision, performance evaluations, and staffing recommendations for CTE staff.
• Oversees CTE program quality, accreditation, credential attainment, and compliance with VDOE, federal, state requirements.
