Job summary

Marshall Public Schools is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional to support students with disabilities at Park Side Elementary, serving grades K-1. This in-person role is part of a 1.0 FTE, 185-day contract with a day shift, Monday through Friday, and may include bus rider duties as needed.

The position emphasizes collaboration with teachers, implementation of IEP plans, and daily living assistance to students, along with documenting progress in logs and charts for continuity of care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to attain Highly Qualified Paraprofessional status.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to work with students with special needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in implementing IEP plans and support instruction.
• Support daily living activities and mobility needs.
• Assist with behavior management and de-escalation as directed.
• Assist with bus rider responsibilities as needed.
• Document delivery of services in logs and charts.
