Job summary

The Paideia Academy seeks an educator dedicated to nurturing the whole-child through collaborative planning with parents, staff, and leaders. The role focuses on delivering Paideia-guided lessons, embedding vocabulary and clear objectives, and using data to monitor and improve student achievement.

You will maintain a safe classroom and engage families through regular conferences, while aligning lessons with state standards and school policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Elementary Education or related field; SEI certification preferred.
• Experience teaching diverse students and managing classrooms.
• Ability to apply feedback to improve teaching skills.
• Experience with state standards in Elementary Education.
• Strong communication with scholars, parents, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with parents, educators, and leaders to support the whole-child development.
• Plan and deliver effective lessons using Paideia curriculum and guidelines.
• Contribute to curriculum planning and alignment with standards.
• Provide vocabulary instruction, objectives, guided practice, and closure.
• Monitor student progress and administer academy assessments as required.
• Maintain safe, positive classroom environment with consistent routines.
• Keep parents informed on performance and development through conferences.
• Engage in ongoing professional development.
