Job summary

Tahoe Expedition Academy is seeking a dedicated Kindergarten & First Grade teacher to lead a combined K/1 classroom. The role emphasizes developmentally appropriate instruction, social-emotional growth, and a love of learning, with project-based fieldwork as a core element.

The ideal candidate will differentiate instruction in a multi-age setting, manage the classroom, and collaborate with specialists to provide a cohesive educational experience that integrates outdoor learning and adventure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field required.
• Valid teaching credential or relevant experience required.
• Experience teaching Kindergarten or first grade preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver developmentally appropriate instruction for a combined Kindergarten and first-grade classroom.
• Differentiate instruction to challenge and support students across developmental levels.
• Plan and implement curriculum, assessment, and family communication.
• Collaborate with specialists, staff, and leadership to ensure cohesive learning.
• Lead outdoor project-based fieldwork and align classroom learning with real-world experiences.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and ensure safety and supervision.
