Responsibilities
Noblis ESI is seeking a highly motivated Information System Security Specialist with a strong focus on JWICS to join our dynamic team in Dayton, Ohio.
This critical role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the security and advancement of information systems and network-delivered solutions. The selected candidate will primarily be responsible for providing Information System Security Manager (ISSM) support for JWICS, including maintaining system security plans, conducting security assessments, and ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulations. This role also entails providing comprehensive IT customer support for a 50-person office with 150 systems, including security analysis, troubleshooting complex hardware and software issues, performing machine imaging, managing user accounts and access controls, and supporting SIPRNet and NIPRNet systems as needed.
Responsibilities Include:
- Providing ISSM support for JWICS systems, ensuring compliance with DISA STIGs, NIST publications, and other security regulations.
- Developing, maintaining, and updating System Security Plans (SSPs) for JWICS systems.
- Conducting security assessments and vulnerability scans, identifying and mitigating risks.
- Analyzing system logs and security alerts for potential breaches or vulnerabilities.
- Documenting troubleshooting steps, security actions, and customer interactions within the ITSM system.
- Reporting application and technical issues, security vulnerabilities, and proposing mitigation strategies.
- Managing user accounts and access controls, following least privilege principles.
- Performing machine imaging, configuring, troubleshooting, and securing client workstations and peripherals.
- Implementing security patches, updates, and fixes per directives.
- Assisting with troubleshooting VTC/GVS issues with security considerations.
- Providing guidance on IA policies, especially related to JWICS security requirements.
- Managing a quality ITSM program focused on security incident management.
- Creating and maintaining security-related documentation and user guides.
- Collaborating with AFNET ESD to resolve network connectivity and security issues.
- Participating in security incident response activities.
- Supporting SIPRNet and NIPRNet systems as required.
- Maintaining an inventory of IT assets.
- Providing customer-focused IT support across all systems.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
- US Citizenship.
- Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of relevant IT experience.
- Active CompTIA Security+ certification.
- Experience with classified networks (NIPRNet, SIPRNet, JWICS) and security controls.
- Knowledge of JWICS security policies and procedures.
- Experience with machine imaging and deployment tools.
Desired Qualifications
- ITIL certification.
- Familiarity with DoD and Air Force IT policies and cybersecurity regulations.
- Experience with ITSM processes and security incident management.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, and network security issues.
- Experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS, or vulnerability scanners.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Experience with Microsoft tools like OneDrive, SharePoint, and Teams, including security configurations.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and teamwork skills.
- Self-motivated and adaptable to changing environments.
