Qualifications

• Prior coaching experience preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid Department of Public Safety (DPS) Arizona FPCC.
• NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching Certificate.
• NFHS Concussion in Sports Certificate.
• NFHS First Aid, Health, and Safety Certificate/CPR (preferred).
• NFHS Cheer and Dance Safety Certificate (applicable for Cheer, Dance and Spiritline)

Responsibilities

• Assists with organizing team prospects and encourages participation.
• Assists with assessing players' skills and positions.
• Assists with developing regular practice schedules for individual and team development.
• Coaches and instructs players on rules, equipment, and techniques of wrestling.
• Observes players during practice and competition and reports needs for improvement.
• Assists with determining game strategy based on team capabilities.
• Maintains standards of student-athlete conduct and supervision.
• Monitors academic performance to support eligibility requirements.
• Assists with safety procedures and injury responses.
• Conferences with parents/guardians regarding athletic performance.
• Follows district regulations governing the athletic program.
