Middlesex County Magnet Schools is seeking Junior Varsity/Assistant Varsity Softball Coaches for East Brunswick, Perth Amboy, Piscataway, and Woodbridge campuses. Salary follows the JV/Assistant Varsity salary guide for the 2026-2027 school year.

Appointments are annual; if a team cannot be fielded, you may be assigned to assistant varsity at a reduced salary. The JV coach will lead JV activities and assist the Varsity Coach with practices, travel, and game attendance.

Qualifications

• Must hold a New Jersey State Teacher's Certificate and/or a County Substitute's Certificate.
• Knowledgeable background of the sport as a player or coach in college or high school.
• Three years of sub-varsity coaching preferred.
• Coaches must be certified in CPR/AED and Sports First Aid and register for the NFHS Coaching Principles Course within 120 days of employment.
• Certifications must be completed before the first day of the season.

Responsabilités

• The Junior Varsity Coach will have full responsibility for the Junior Varsity team and will assist the Varsity Coach with practices, travel, and attendance at home and away games.
• Compensation will be based on the Teacher's Agreement with the Board of Education.
