Job summary

Vallivue School District in Nampa, ID seeks an Athletics Director/Coach to motivate and develop athletes' skills, attitudes, and character, lead with fair play, and promote teamwork and respect. This role provides leadership and motivation to excel on and off the field.

The position requires organizing practices and game rosters, supervising events, ensuring safety, and complying with district and state policies, including concussion protocols and eligibility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Attend tryouts, practice meetings, and supervise students during related events
• Organize practice schedules and game rosters
• Assign positions to players and develop strategies and styles of play
• Attend out-of-school meetings and supervise events and fundraisers
• Coach individual participants of varying abilities in relevant skills
• Track student performance and develop stat sheets for players
• Arrange transportation, scheduling, and hiring of officials for competitions
• Ensure safety of students and security of equipment and facilities, and proper use of safety equipment
• Comply with federal/state law and district policies including concussion protocol and eligibility requirements
• Promote the athletic program and recruit student participation
• Model positive behavior and maintain a professional environment
• Maintain high standards of conduct and fair play
• Adhere to Idaho High School Activities Association rules
