Responsibilities

General Responsibilities

1. Assist the head coach with training and instruction of student athletes.
2. Maintain appropriate practice plans and assist with practice schedules.
3. Conform to all district and league policies and procedures for athletics.
4. Demonstrate high ethics, professionalism, and be a positive role model for students.

Qualifications

• Previous coaching experience preferred.
• Hold or be eligible for First Aid, AED, and CPR certification.
• Complete the Virginia High School League (VHSL) Coaches Education Requirements within the set timelines.

Physical Requirements

• Effective communication skills using telephone and personal contact.
• Ability to operate office equipment like computers, calculators, copiers, etc.
• Physical ability to climb, kneel, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, and perform repetitive motions.
