Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Previous coaching experience preferred.
• Certifications in First Aid, CPR, NFHS courses, AED training.
• Florida DOE Athletic Coaching certification.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Announce and enforce conditioning and training rules to protect player health and safety.
• Attend mandatory FHSAA rules clinics and Gateway Conference meetings.
• Coordinate physical examinations and verify completion of health forms.
• Conduct and supervise fundraising activities for the sport.
• Ensure team supervision at all times and manage pickups after practices and games.
• Enforce Title IX, FHSAA, and DCPS policies.
• Monitor weekly academic progress of team members.
• Organize practice and game responsibilities with clear duties for coaching staff.
• Report injuries to athletic trainer and Jacksonville Sports Medicine Program; manage Return to Play.
• Support athletic program improvement and overall educational goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
