Job summary

LEAP Academy University Charter School is seeking a Junior Varsity Cheerleading Assistant Coach to partner with the Athletic Director to develop athletes, implement conditioning and nutrition guidance, and lead the program through competitions, tournaments, and qualifying events.

The role includes recruiting and managing a team, coordinating physicals and transportation, planning fundraising, and ensuring eligibility and safety across the season.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• NJSIAA Certified; certification maintained per state guidelines.
• CPR & First Aid Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Administrative duties include recruiting a strong, high-quality team (minimum 15 players).
• Schedule athletes for sports physicals with the Wellness Clinic; coordinate transportation to events.
• Plan at least three fundraisers and handle Senior Night and related events.
