Job summary

The Classical Academy in Texas seeks a JV Cheer coach to support middle school to varsity teams. The role is stipend-based and reports to the Activities Director, with duties tied to developing the cheer program and supporting athletic philosophy.

Responsibilities include assisting with practice planning, attending coaches' meetings, and implementing safety and sport fundamentals. The position may require evenings and weekend events according to the activity schedule.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED required; undergraduate degree preferred.
• Experience as a coach at the secondary level is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a middle school, freshman, junior varsity, or varsity assistant coach and is classified as an assistant to the Activities Director
• Assumes the responsibilities for the development of the specific team within the total program, under the direction of the Activities Director
• Attends all coaches' meetings called by the Activities Director
• Carries out assignments given by the Activities Director
