Job summary

Paycom is hiring a Junior Varsity Boys Soccer Assistant Coach at Lick Wilmerding High School in San Francisco, CA. The role supports the JV Head Coach and aims to develop student-athletes’ soccer skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship while ensuring smooth practice and game operations.

The position runs from November 2, 2026, to February 12, 2027, with practices on weekdays 3:30pm–5:30pm. Candidates should have prior HS/youth soccer experience and CIF/NFHS certifications or willingness to obtain

Qualifications

Prior experience playing or coaching soccer at the high school or youth level.
Knowledge of soccer rules, strategies, and techniques.
Must hold current CIF/NFHS certifications or be willing to obtain them before the season starts.
Background check required in accordance with school district policy.

Responsibilities

Assist in practice planning and execution focused on developing players’ technical skills and teamwork.
Provide game day support including warm-ups, substitutions, and tactical adjustments.
Offer individual feedback to players to improve skills and understanding of the game.
Foster positive relationships with players, coaches, and parents; communicate schedules and expectations.
Evaluate player performance during practices and games; support their development.
