Job summary

Decatur High School invites applications for JV Baseball Coach. The role involves organizing and leading the education-based baseball program, fostering positive relationships with student-athletes, staff and community, and delivering instruction in baseball skills, competition and strategy.

The coach will supervise all phases and align with athletic department goals. Qualifications include prior playing and/or coaching experience, strong communication and leadership, and ability to collaborate

DECATUR HIGH SCHOOL JV BASEBALL COACH

School/Program Features:

• Approximately 1860 students in grades 9-12
• School is located in southwest Marion County
• Member of Mid-State Conference with Franklin, Greenwood, Martinsville, Mooresville, Perry Meridian, Plainfield, and Whiteland
• Member of (4A) Sectional 12 - Center Grove, Decatur Central, Franklin Central, Mooresville, Perry Meridian, and Southport
• Program History- 14 Conference Championships, 10 County Championships, 21 Sectional Championships, 6 Regional Championships, 3 Semi-State Championships and 1 State Title.
• Two certified athletic trainers on staff
• Great facilities; including state of the art weight room, Armstrong (Indoor) Pavilion, athletic annex building, natural field, turf field, locker rooms, team meeting room/classroom/offices, and a Field-Turf multi-purpose field.
