Job summary

The Middlesex County Magnet Schools Board of Education is currently accepting applications for Junior Varsity Baseball Coaches for East Brunswick Magnet School, Perth Amboy Magnet School, and Piscataway Magnet School. The position is annual and base salary follows the 2026-2027 salary guide.

Responsibilities include leading JV activities, assisting the Varsity Coach, and managing practices and travel; appointments are at the Board's discretion with the potential for reduced salary if JV team

Qualifications

• Holder of NJ State Teacher's Certificate and/or County Substitute's Certificate.
• Three years of sub-varsity coaching preferred.
• CPR/AED and Sports First Aid certifications required; NFHS Coaching Principles Course within 120 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• JV Coach will lead the Junior Varsity team and assist Varsity Coach with practices, travel, and game attendance; compensation based on Teacher's Agreement.

Junior Varsity/Assistant Varsity Baseball Coaches

The Board of Education of Middlesex County Magnet Schools is currently accepting applications for Junior Varsity Baseball Coaches.

Salary will be based on the Junior Varsity/Assistant VarsityCoaches salary guide in effect for the 2026-2027 school year. The appointment is made on an annual basis.

If a Junior Varsity team cannot be fielded within ten (10) days of the first official practice, the position will not be filled, and you will be given the position of assistant varsity coach at a reduced salary.

Baseball openings are currently available at:

1. East Brunswick Magnet School
2. Perth Amboy Magnet School
3. Piscataway Magnet School

Responsibilities

• The Junior Varsity Coach will have full responsibility for the Junior Varsity team and will assist the Varsity Coach with team activities such as practices, travel, and attendance at home and away games. Compensation will be based on the Teacher's Agreement with the Board of Education.

Qualifications

• Be the holder of a New Jersey State Teacher's Certificate and/or a County Substitute's Certificate, have a knowledgeable background in the sport as a player or coach in college or in high school, three years of sub-varsity coaching preferred, and a successful background in working with young people in a related sports field.
• Coaches must be certified in CPR/AED and Sports First Aid and, if new to the profession, register for the NFHS Coaching Principles Course within 120 days of employment.
• The candidate must have completed the "A Guide to Heat Acclimatization and Heat Illness Prevention" course as well as the "Concussion in Sports What you need to Know." Certifications must be completed before the first day of the season.

Appointment is at the discretion of the Board of Education.
