Job summary

Idaho Department of Juvenile Corrections in Coeur d'Alene is seeking a full-time Social Worker (Juvenile Service Coordinator) to provide ongoing case-management for juvenile offenders placed in state or private facilities, with travel to residential placements across Idaho.

You will collaborate with facility case managers, families, probation officers, and other treatment providers to plan reintegration and coordinate community-based services from commitment through release.

Qualifications

• Licensure as a Social Worker in Idaho in accordance with Idaho Code 54-32. License must be obtained prior to appointment.
• Must be willing to work in a juvenile correction setting.

Responsibilities

• Conducts investigative and fact-finding interviews to obtain and assess mental, physical, economic, employment, environmental, and social status of client/family/caregiver and prepares written reports.
• Provides ongoing case management to juvenile offenders committed to IDJC and placed in state or private facilities; collaborates with facility case managers and treatment teams.
• Identifies and develops community-based services for juveniles and families; conducts home visits and coordinates reintegration into the community.
