Job summary

The State of Nebraska, Supreme Court - Agency 5 in Omaha, NE, seeks a Probation Officer Assistant- Juvenile to support supervision, case planning, and offender monitoring under supervision. The role includes home visits, interviews, and documentation of progress to help ensure compliance with court orders.

You will participate in investigations, report writing, and electronic monitoring under the Chief Probation Officer or designee while pursuing ongoing professional development and state

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 63 hours from a four-year college in a related field.
• 2 years of education and experience may substitute for the required duties.
• All credits must be from an accredited institution.

Responsibilities

• Meets and interviews probationers during home visits and office meetings, documents progress.
• Monitors offenders through office activities and, under supervision, supports compliance with court regulations.
• Assists with pre-sentence investigations and evaluations of candidates for probation.
• Prepares and updates reports and databases, including progress updates and location reports.
• Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
