Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent in a relevant field plus related experience.
• One year of experience in Corrections, Human Services Treatment Programs, or related area.
• Three years of experience in Corrections or related human services.

Responsibilities

• Provide and manage direct services to clients in groups (max 8) and monitor compliance with facility rules.
• Facilitate client programming including cognitive groups, recreation, meals, and schooling.
• Utilize evidence-based practices and motivational interviewing to de-escalate crises.
• Complete daily client notes and monthly reports.
• Prepare for court intake and assist in the intake process.
• Maintain safety and security within the juvenile detention center and respond to emergencies.
• Observe and document resident progress and coordinate with treatment team.

Education

Associate's degree or equivalent in Corrections, Counseling, Criminal Justice, Education, Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, or related Human Services field

Three years experience in Corrections, Human Services Treatment Programs, or related experience
