Jefferson County's Minnie Rogers Juvenile Justice Center is seeking a licensed mental health professional to provide individual, group, and crisis counseling to residents and to maintain confidential records in a secure setting.

The role requires a Master’s degree in Counseling or Social Work, Texas licensure (LPC or LCSW), and a commitment to operate under TJJD standards. Candidates must pass a background check and carry professional liability insurance.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Counseling, Clinical Social Work, or related field.
• Must be licensed in Texas as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• Complete background investigation for TJJD certification/recertification.
• Maintain professional liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide mental health services to Minnie Rogers Juvenile Justice Center residents.
• Deliver individual, group, and crisis counseling.
• Maintain resident files with privacy and proper record-keeping.
• Attend program meetings and maintain licensure hours.
• Be available for emergencies 24/7 and adhere to TJJD standards.
